Peter Bartlett

Board Member

During his 40-year career in secondary education, Peter Bartlett served in several administrative capacities, including Director of Student Life, Dean of Students, College Admissions Counselor, Assistant Headmaster, Director of Admissions, and Academic Dean. He also provided support for resident student life, served on many committees, including Health and Strategic Planning, coached sports, and taught courses in Ethics and Virtue, Global Affairs, Film and Literature, English Composition, and Latin. His career took him to RI, NY, CT, NH, and CA, where he last taught before retiring and moving with his wife to Eastham in 2023, a move that allowed them to be on the east coast as their daughter started college in Maine. It also allowed him to support his family in the care of their mother, who passed peacefully at her home in Eastham in early 2025. Following in his mother’s footsteps, Peter serves as a volunteer with the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod. As a Lily House volunteer since 2024, he has provided companionship and comfort for our Lily House residents. Moving from a place of empathy and intuitively responding to the needs of the moment, Peter helps those who are dying at the Lily House find their path to peace. He is grateful to also serve as a Board Director.
